Why bamboo?
Bamboo is naturally soft, breathable, and gentle on skin. It helps regulate temperature, feels smooth against the body, and stays comfortable all day. It is also one of the most sustainable plants in the world, growing quickly with very little water and no pesticides.
What is your fabric made of?
Our pieces are made from premium viscose derived from bamboo, blended with a small amount of stretch for movement and durability. This gives the fabric its signature softness, drape, and all-day comfort.
Are all bamboo fabrics the same?
No.
Bamboo can be processed in many different ways, and the quality varies a lot across brands. We work only with suppliers who use closed-loop processing, meaning the water and solutions are recycled rather than released. This results in a softer, safer, and more breathable fabric.
Do you use harsh chemicals like caustic soda in processing?
Our manufacturers use a closed-loop system that recycles and neutralizes the solution used in the viscose process, preventing it from entering the environment. This is different from conventional bamboo processing, where chemicals are discharged as waste.
We only partner with suppliers who meet strict environmental standards.
How is bamboo different from cotton?
- Softness: Bamboo is noticeably softer and smoother against the skin.
- Breathability: It allows airflow and helps regulate body temperature.
- Water impact: Bamboo requires significantly less water to grow than cotton.
- Skin sensitivity: Bamboo viscose is naturally hypoallergenic and soothing, making it great for sensitive or eczema-prone skin.

Is your fabric suitable for sensitive skin?
Yes.
Bamboo viscose is naturally hypoallergenic and gentle. Many of our customers choose Monday Chill because they (or their kids) have eczema, easily irritated skin, or prefer low-friction fabrics.
How do I care for my pieces?
Machine wash cold, gentle cycle.
Lay flat or hang dry.
Avoid high heat to preserve softness and shape.
